GENE
Architectural Seminar Track Includes Discussion on Low-E Glazing
Glass Expo Northeast (GENE), the region's largest conference and
trade show dedicated to the flat glass and metal and auto glass
industries, will take place at the Hyatt Regency Long Island Wind
Watch Hotel & Golf Club March 25-26, 2009. The event promises
top-notch education, training and networking opportunities close
to home at affordable prices. In fact, GENE will offer a number
of seminars and workshops focused on some of the most pertinent
topics and trends facing the architectural market, including low-E
glazing.
In a time when energy prices are continually increasing, every opportunity
to be more cost-efficient counts. So, on Thursday, March 26 Nestor
Torres, national architectural manager for PPG Performance Glazings,
will present "Low-E Coatings' Roles in Energy-Efficient Glazing"
from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. During the seminar attendees can learn how
utilizing low-E coatings in their projects can allow them to pass
along additional value to customers. In addition, those attending
the seminar can also earn one AIA/CES learning unit. After the presentation,
be sure and congratulate Torres as he and his wife recently welcomed
the birth of their first son, Sebastian Joaquin Torres.
