Goldray
USA Holds Open House
Goldray USA held an open house earlier this month in its facility
at 35 Kent Ave. in Brooklyn. The purpose was to introduce the new
partnership between Goldray Industries Ltd., the Calgary-based decorative
glass supplier and Colonial Glass Solutions, perhaps better known
as Colonial Glass and Mirror, a long-time Northeast glass fabricator.

to the Goldray USA open house that was held earlier this month
in Brooklyn. |
The new company is a joint partnership between Greg Saroka, president
of Goldray Industries, and Zachary Weiner, who is president of the
new Goldray USA.
"Our Calgary plant is so full, we have to get this facility
up to speed and the sooner the better," said Cathie Saroka,
marketing director for the company. "We will be adding our
DecoTherm decorative glass product to the product line which the
facility is already producing-insulating glass, tempered glass,
spandrel and doors."
The new venture manufactures and distributes these architectural
glass products in the Northeast and New England.
"New York is a big market for us," explained Cathie Saroka,
"so we wanted to
be closer and have a more integrated operation close to New York.
The company is making an extensive investment in plant upgrades
to add the decorative glass manufacturing capabilities and continues
utilizing its cutting, tempering and fabricating capabilities."

booth to the Brooklyn facility to showcase some of the decorative
product capabilities that are available. |
The open house, to which several hundred guests had been invited,
was
in the facility which serves as the platform for the new venture.
In addition to showcasing its capabilities at the open house, the
Goldray trade show booth had been shipped in to display its DecoTherm
decorative glass products. Also at the open house, personnel from
Dorma were providing information about door hardware and from Edgetech
IG demonstrations on warm-edge insulating glass production.
