Architects' Guide to Glass & MetalWausau Introduces New Curtainwall

Wausau Window and Wall Systems has introduced the 6250i-HRX curtainwall system, which is designed specifically for the floor-to-floor spans and loads of high-rise residential construction such as condominiums, hotels and apartments. The patent pending HRX Composite option also accommodates long spans at mechanical floors for applications such as hospital, educational and offices.

The curtainwall is designed to offer enhanced condensation performance and low U-factor. Matching its narrow sightlines, the supplier also has introduced the 4250i-V multi-lock, out-swing, zero sightline, operating vent companion series.

The HRX curtainwall system is available as conventional curtainwall or windowwall, or as a composite system that passes in front of floor slabs with only minimal clearance between the face of spandrel glass (or other infill) and the face of the concrete slab.
