Two weeks ago, PPG sent shock waves through the glass industry when it announced it was selling its glass business to Mexican-based manufacturer Vitro. There had been speculation for some time that the company was looking to sell that segment, though it was still a major development in the industry given PPG’s illustrious 133-year history in glass.
